CASTING LESSONS AT ISOBEL LAKE

During the past couple of years, Kamloops and District Fish and Game Association has been contacted by staff from the  Juniper Ridge Elementary School requesting that members provide casting lessons to some of their students.  This event is held at Isobel Lake .  School staff and parents transport the students to the Lake and provide chaperone services.  Club members provide the fishing equipment, most of which has been donated to the Club, and assist the students in learning how to cast.  Spin casting outfits are used and bobbers are attached to the lines to provide the weight to enable the lines to be cast out.  No hooks are used for safety reasons. The students also have a great time checking for aquatic life along the lake shore.
