Renew PAL with no paper

I haven't found anyone else who tried this.

Renewal of PAL all on your device. If this page needs corrections, please call me.

Before you start, PRINT THIS PAGE

You will need your old PAL licence number (8 digits before the “.”)

You will need a digital photo from London Drugs, Walmart or take a selfie following the directions at

Store the photo in your device where you can get at it easily.

Another user name and password for you to record !!

And declare how to contact you (I chose email)

You will need your credit card $70 non restricted or $90 restricted

This is my experience with my PAL (non restrictive) renewal which would expire in May of 2026.

I got an email from RCMP Dec 12 saying there was a new message on my IWS (Individual Web Services) page. The link was :

I clicked on it and it took me to the RCMP page - 2 officers at the beach. There was no message there or how to get to the IWS page.

So I assumed I was to renew my PAL.

I clicked on “Firearms services for individuals”

Scroll down to the green “Proceed to site for Individual Services”

Got a choice how to sign in

Continue by using your bank ID etc (not for me!)

Continue using a a GCkey (my choice)

Got an info screen on GCkey “continue”

2 step verification – copy code from email to form. “continue”

Note about 2 step “continue”

Went to CFP E services

Finally gets to the IWS page

Fill in required fields

Another 2 step verification

Got an email with a code from RCMP 6 digits (Copy and paste into “verification” box)

Finally started the application (9 steps)

Submit

Pay with credit card

Print copy of application for your records.

Whew !!
